#1    WHEN WILL MY ROOF START?

We expect to start the installation on your WeatherTite roof in the time printed at the bottom of your agreement.  However, due to weather, material delivery, previous jobs, and other factors your start date could be a little sooner or later.  Our production and scheduling department will contact you as soon as your project nears commencement or should be there by any expected delay.  You will also receive a welcome call in the near future from our Sales Manager who will be glad to answer any questions that might arise. Most installations take 3-5 working days.

#2    WHEN DO I PAY?

A 50% deposit on your new WeatherTite roof will be collected from you or the home improvement loan company as applicable at the time you place your order.  Your roof is being special ordered or produced specifically for your home and thus must the deposit must be paid before it can be scheduled. The balance owed on your roof becomes due the day your roof reaches substantial completion.

#3    WHAT IS THE PRE – CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION?

Per the Terms & Conditions of your agreement, we replace rotten plywood or boards within the scope of work that we are doing.  A pre-construction is not excessive rot preventing a layover or other consideration that we should bring to your attention before we start the job.  If a condition exists that in the opinion of our Production Department prevents WeatherTite from moving forward as planned the Agreement, that condition will be discussed with you and a Change Order executed or any deposit paid returned to you without penalty.

#4    WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS ROTTEN WOOD?

Unlike other roofing companies, WeatherTite provides unlimited replacement of rotted decking at no additional cost.  Replacement of defective fire treated wood, sub fascia, insect damage, trusses, or other areas not within the scope of work are specifically excluded from our unlimited rotten woodwork replacement policy.  In such a case where there would be woodwork which is your responsibility you would be notified, provided photos and billed $2.75 per sq. foot of decking and $7.00 per linear foot of material and labor. 

#5    IF WE HAVE A QUESTION OR SOMETHING GOES WRONG, WHO DO I CALL?

We welcome the opportunity to answer any questions are simply a matter of clarification.  However, from time to time, accidents or the unexpected happens, and should that occur, please call our Production Manager that will resolve the matter.

#6    DO I NEED TO BE HOME?

In general, you are not required to be home during the installation of your new WeatherTite roof.  However, we do recommend a daily walkthrough by you or your representative. Installation of sun tunnels and skylights generally require entry into your home.

#7    WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

We strive to make your roofing project as clean as possible.  However, expect loud noises, vibrations, construction equipment, multiple vehicles, temporarily messy grounds, debris trailer, roofing materials and an active job site.  At the end of each day, the area around your home will be clean and dried in for any rain that might happen before the crew returns. We always tear off shingles and underlayment when installing the Landmark Pro.  Our Grand Rib 3 can be installed as a layover or a tear off. If you choose a metal layover and it’s acceptable to our production department, we will do our utmost to replace rotten wood. However, there is no way of knowing if all the rotten wood has been found.  Accordingly, a metal roof tear off is the most thorough approach that will yield the highest insurance discounts that you will lose if you choose a metal roof layover installation.    

#8    WHAT IF IT RAINS?

We constantly monitor the weather tearing off and drying in with great care.  Water intrusion is almost never an issue, but should it be, we are available to respond by any emergency situation.

#9    WILL I GET A WIND MITIGATION REPORT AND COMPLETION PACKAGE?

A wind mitigation report will be provided at no charge by a third party once your job is complete.  Your competition package will include your final invoice, lien release, solar tax credit form, warranties and other important documents that will be delivered to you the day of job completion when your final invoice is paid.

#10  MUST MY AGREEMENT DETAIL WHAT IS TO BE DONE?

Read your agreement carefully to make sure the scope of work and price are correct.  Your agreement will be processed as written unless you later execute a Change Order or Production contacts you with an installation issue.  Always ascertain all details of your purchase are in the Agreement in writing.

#11  IF THE WALLS OR CAP ON MY CHIMNEY ARE DEFECTIVE, MUST I FIX THEM AT MY EXPENSE?

When the walls of a chimney are defective, they require repairs; such as tuck pointing, stucco work, wood replacement or even structural replacement of the chimney itself.  Also, the chimney top/cap must protect your home from the elements. If any of these are defective, you must have them repaired at your expense or there will be leaks into your home – not from the roof.

#12  CAN METAL ALWAYS BE PUT ON A FLAT ROOF?

WeatherTite has specific filings that allow a metal roof to be put on a very low pitch… particularly flat.  However, due to home design and other factors, metal roofing might not be available on some flat roofs. If the Production Manager or Roof Consultant determines metal is not applicable to a flat roof situation, then a lifetime 2-ply granulated bitumen roofing system will be installed.

#13  DO YOU HAVE A REFERRAL PROGRAM?

We do have a referral program.  You can be rewarded $100 on each roof replacement referral that installs a new WeatherTite roof.
